NEWSLETTER & BELATED CHRISTMAS PRESENT
We sincerely hope that all our readers had a fantastic Christmas and New Year and that those of you who graced our tables in December had a great time – we certainly did!

Though we are now firmly rooted in corporate land i.e. we are owned by a thoroughly pleasant and understanding gang of investors, we trust that you feel we run the business in as personal and friendly a way as we ever did.

Competition for the gastronomic pound remains as fierce as ever and to this end this newsletter comes loaded with a truly wonderful voucher that entitles the bearer to £10 off any lunch or dinner bill of over £40 for the whole of January and February. The voucher can be used with all our menus apart from our brand new and cynically repackaged “Early Bird” offer of two courses for £10 which will be available throughout January, February and March every evening from 6:00pm to 7:30pm including Saturdays. This rip-roaring deal mysteriously mutates to two courses for £15 for orders placed after 7:30. Get your trainers on!

For those of you with an appetite for the truly appalling “art” of marketing speak I believe that these gifts are called “Bounce Back” and “Early Doors” or “Beat the Clock” – God do I hate gimmicks!

In all seriousness this is by way of a thank you to the many thousands of you devotedly loyal Walls supporters who have been our salvation since my return. Thank you!

So, apart from all this jiggery-pokery, what is planned for 2004, I hear you cry!

We are building on the success of our recent strengthening of our kitchen brigade and introducing an even more spectacular “a la carte” menu early in January. Our real “paper blackboard” will continue to augment all our other menus with real seasonal food and produce of merit from a range of local suppliers.
