We’re not especially used to name-dropping but... amongst the amazing things that have happened at The Walls are: Robert Plant's first live performance after the break up of Led Zeppelin, a two night appearance of Willy Russell, the recording of an amazing double “unplugged” album by Marillion and a raft of other brilliant musical evenings.
These days we may do slightly less in the way of spectacular extrvaganzas but we regularly have something exciting happening, and it's usually accompanied by great food and wine. The Walls is a fantastic venue for all kinds of events - exhibitions, demonstrations and concerts. Below you'll find what's coming up in the near future. Click on the titles for more details.
On 2nd July the Oswestry Cheese Club presents an evening of French cheeses at The Walls.
France boasts the most extraordinarily diverse range of traditional cheeses in the world. The Cheese Club can afford to ignore them no longer. We'll be looking at a selection of French cheeses from the perspective of terroir, technique and taste. And, in the best tradition of Cheese Club, there will be no mention of The Simpsons.
